StreamDrop
Encrypted file transfer.
Privacy Policy
StreamDrop is designed to protect your privacy through end-to-end encryption and zero-storage architecture.
- Zero Storage: We do not store, host, or cache any of your files. Data flows directly from sender to receiver.
- End-to-End Encryption: All files are encrypted in the browser using AES-256-GCM before upload. The encryption key never leaves your browser and is never sent to our servers.
- No Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics, tracking cookies, or collect personally identifiable information.
- Ephemeral Metadata: Connection metadata (such as IP addresses required for routing) is only held in memory temporarily while a transfer is active and is immediately discarded when the connection closes.
- Self-Hosting Option: If you don't trust any third-party server with your connection metadata, StreamDrop is fully open-source (GPL-3.0 licensed) and easy to self-host. See the GitHub repository for self-hosting instructions.
